The challenge
High-level feature ideas needed to become explicitly defined and scheduled work, with clear handoffs between design, engineering, art, animation, interface, audio, and QA.
What I worked on
Define system behavior
Broke down features into inputs, outputs, states, invalid actions, persistence requirements, and testable success criteria.
Make scope visible
Separated feature-level requirements into discipline-specific tasks, accounting for dependencies and handoff points.
Build achievable milestones
Prepared three production timetables, each using a 30-week planning window with a 24-week working scope and contingency time.
Communicate progress
Produced documentation and recurring reports designed for developers, production leads, and stakeholders.
Scope & evidence
The project was placed on indefinite hold before the planned production work could be completed. These are preproduction and planning deliverables, not shipped features. Proprietary feature specifics are intentionally omitted.
What the work taught me
A detailed production plan does not make a feature real—but it creates a shared, testable understanding of what making it real will require.
